This popular lakeside development is situated on Highway 27 just south of the junction with the 192, close to shops, a bank, a gas station, a supermarket, and a library. The Palms at Lake Davenport Estates is a mature mix of residential homes and vacation rental properties.

The community has a communal pool, basketball and tennis courts, as well as a kiddies playground, all of which are free to visitors. Many golf courses are situated nearby and there is access at the rear of the community to Lake Davenport for fishing.
